From the very beginning of the party, the vibe was simply amazing. The
rain and cold didn't seem to crush anyone's attitude. The security was fast and
pretty friendly. The wait was only about twenty minutes.
As I entered the Atrium, I was greeted by two girls whose job was to hug
every person that walked into the party. I think this is probably what
helped the vibe a little bit. The lights were amazing, which isn't a surprise for
the Atrium. I could tell that all of the party kids were here to dance and
show their appreciation for the female dj's.
We were welcomed into the party by the sounds of Miss Bliss. She got the
crowd pumped with her version of a very popular Sonique track. She really
knew what the crowd wanted and she made them get up and dance.
The schedule got a little messed up since some of the dj's were running late. Next up was DJ Keri. She got the crowd dancing with her version of "Somebody's Watching Me." She did an awesome job by mixing her own vocals into many of the familiar tracks.
The theme for the party seemed to be an 80's retro party. DJ Tracy
followed Keri with her version of "Electric Avenue." Again, pleasing the
crowd with her housey beats.
The crowd was very appreciative of the women who performed at Goddess
II. Applause to the Peace Continuum for an excellent party! After talking with
MIke Winkle, a member of the Continuum, I hear that there are more of these
all female dj parties in the works!
